Following the artists’ Sarah Van Lamsweerde and Janneke Raaphorst’s collaboration at the “In Presence of Absence” performance at the Stedelijk Museum, De Aanraakbaren (The Touchables) was created at the Bijlm Air artist-in-residence program for CBK Zuidoost in Amsterdam.
De Aanraakbaren is a film and installation where 6 performers create a drawing in response to sensorial stimuli, which is then sewn onto their garments. Each performer has different visual abilities and cultural backgrounds and meet each other through the language of touch.

Historias Paralelas (Parallel Stories) by Tamara Rosenblum is a multi-channel, three-room installation that compares the work of three women: the artist, her sister, Sofia, and their mother, Sonia. The children grab their mother’s hair. Rosenblum’s father screams at her mother while she kisses and placates him.
In the liminal space between life and whatever comes before and after life, these women play, feed, and fight on a continuous loop. The exhibition asks, “Can the kind of care work these two women perform fit into a wage economy model? And if care work is politically invisible, then how can societies support it?”
